Léa Dunand-Chantellet was appointed chief executive of Mirova on Monday.

Mirova announced a reshaped leadership group on Monday, naming Léa Dunand-Chantellet as chief executive.

The appointment follows Dunand-Chantellet’s July start and introduces six senior roles to the company’s governance structure.

New leadership team

Candice Brenet will serve as deputy chief executive and chief strategy and transformation officer. She joins Mirova from 17 September, having previously served as chair of several ESG and sustainability committees.

Laurence Willig takes the second deputy chief executive slot as chief finance and governance officer.

Raphaël Lance joins as chief investment officer for private-asset strategies.

Karen Kharmandarian is appointed chief investment officer for listed-asset portfolios.

Alix Boisaubert becomes chief business development officer.

Mathilde Dufour assumes the role of chief sustainability and talent officer.

Strategic focus

According to the firm, the strengthened governance structure is designed to sharpen execution, reinforce Mirova’s leadership and equip the firm for the opportunities and challenges facing sustainable finance.

“Sustainable finance is maturing rapidly, bringing new expectations from investors, new market forces and new opportunities to deliver impact at scale. By drawing on the depth of our internal talent and complementing it with new expertise where needed, we are positioning Mirova for its next stage of growth,” Dunand-Chantellet said.
